Video Monitoring System based on Adaptive Background
Owning to some disadvantages of (including) lots of staff costing, high false alarm rate and slow reaction to abnormalities in the traditional video monitoring system, a method of adaptive background is proposed in the paper in order to solve the false updating of monitoring background with the slow change of weather and sunshine. With the help of computer, this method can analyze a great deal of data of video images in a high speed and update background in real time, then extract the abnormalities. In the mean time, considering the function of automatic video recording, this method can save the abnormal object in the computer promptly. So video monitoring system based on adaptive background can extract the object from video images fast and effectively, and then detect the abnormality, which makes the video monitoring more standard, more scientific and more accurate.
