An Energy Aware QoS Routing Mechanism for Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks

Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks has a broad prospect of application because of an increasing demand for monitoring data. Since multimedia information has a strict requirement on quality of service (QoS) and a heavy dependence on network energy, research of QoS in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks is becoming more challenging. This paper presents a routing mechanism of reliable routing based energy aware (BEQR), which chooses appropriate routing by considering residual energy in node and reliable of path, and improves the use of network resources and the reliability of the network. Simulation experiments show that the mechanism can effectively improve the reliability of the transmission network communication and reduce costs.
