An Intersection Algorithm of NURBS Surface and Plane Based on the Method of Isoline
There are many methods to obtain intersection points and intersection lines between a NURBS surface and a plane. Among these methods, algebra algorithm is one of the methods used in many cases. In order to solve the difficulty- in seeking intersection lines in the algebra method, a relatively perfect algorithm of calculating intersection points and intersection lines between a surface and a plane is presented. This method has the advantage of stabilization, quick calculation, easy segmentation and seldom omitting intersection lines. In the end, using VC.net and OpenGL render engine develop the intersection lines calculation program and verify the reliability of the algorithm.
