Eigenvector Centrality based Replica Allocation for Mobile Ad-hoc Neworks
In mobile ad hoc networks, due to frequent network partition, data accessibility is lower than that in conventional fixed networks. One promising technology to this problem is replicate data items on mobile nodes. Then which node(s) is the best or better choice for replica relocation deserves a careful consideration. In this paper, we propose an eigenvector centrality based replica allocation method, EVC-RA, to address this issue. In this method, the nodes eigenvector centrality is utilized to indicate whether the node is the best or better node to host replicas, and desired data items are replicated to the nodes with higher eigenvector centrality values. Simulation results demonstrate that EVC-RA method leads to good successful data access ratios.
