Development of a Meteorological Information System Based on GIS Technology
The paper focuses on the basic theory and key technologies of the applications of component GIS technology in the meteorological information management system, designs and develops a comprehensive functional, component-based GIS-based weather information management system, aimed at using GIS technology and digital visualization related technology into the field of meteorology, promoting the meteorological work to the direction of visualization and digitalization, which has a certain theoretical significance and the value of the works. The functions and main characters of the system are analyzed. Key techniques concerned in the implementation of component GIS are discussed in detail. The future development of the system is prospected.
