An Efficient XOR approach to Wireless Packet Retransmission Problem
In this paper, we propose a new method to solve the problem of retransmission packets in wireless networks. The considered method named as ColorNCCIique is based on network coding, and its goal is the minimization of the total number of retransmissions. Some research has been conducted on this problem. In this paper, the method proposed provides more optimal solutions than previous works, the effectiveness of this method appears in the number of retransmitted packets, which is smaller than the others, and in its low computational complexity. Extensive simulations were performed to show the effectiveness of ColorNCCIique scheme over previously proposed network coding based retransmission algorithms.
