Validity Analysis of Hurst Parameter-based Traffic Anomaly Detection
This paper focuses on the validity analysis of Hurst parameter-based self-similar network traffic anomaly detection method. Simulation results demonstrate that the anomaly detection validity depends on the difference of self-similarity between the abnormal and normal network traffic when the Hurst parameter of self-similar traffic is applied to detect network traffic anomalies.
