The Research on How to Achieve a DC Power Supply through Current Loop Circuit and to Transmit Signal on it
This paper introduces a new method of supplying power for a remote terminal on a current loop circuit and duplex communication on it. By loading the data into the DC power supply line to transfer data between the hosts, and transfer data through current loop circuit between the slaves in order to achieve a duplex serial communication function. The rate of information transmission is 10000 Bps (baud per second). Comparing with RS-232 or RS-485 communication method, this method has its advantages: non-polarity signal, simple wiring, easy maintenance, and so on. Finally, the theoretical feasibility has been verified by a real object.
