EDO Ontology Model for Documents Retrieval in e-Gov

摘要：

In e-Gov domain, documents retrieval usually adopts concept-based methods. Compared to thesaurus, ontology has many advantages. In this paper, we develop an ontology called EDO for documents retrieval. To be compatible with traditional documents retrieval, EDO takes over all the concepts and relationship existing in thesaurus of e-Gov. Moreover, EDO can be used for documents annotating so that information retrieval can be performed. We use Protege 3.4 for the development of concepts and relationships.
