Software Design of EAST Data Acquisition System Based on EPICS
The data acquisition system is an important role of EAST experiment, which is in charge of acquiring and saving data for status monitoring, data analysis and processing. Current DAQ system is a network-based, distributed system including many subsystems. With the development of experiment requirement, first, more and more subsystems will be added into this DAQ system and the maintainability and monitoring of system is very pool;second, current DAQ system doesnt adapt to the long pulse operation. To improve the system and satisfy these future requirements, we will introduce a new software framework called EPICS. In addition, we utilize the MDSplus to handle the quasi-continuous data acquisition. This paper describes the main design schemas of the new DAQ software based on EPICS and MDSplus. The new DAQ system will be implemented in this year.
