Complex Network Analysis of Online Public Opinion
Emergency will arouse hot discuss, especially on the forum. Netizen comments, to a large extent, reflect peoples attitude toward event processing. This paper, by means of complex network, analyzes Netizen comments on Shanghai fire incident and focuses on the statistical mechanics of network topology and dynamics. Fistly, we extract reply relationships and construct reply network from the post-reply relationship in phenix forum. In addition, we calculate network statistical characteristics, such as cluster coefficient, degree distribution, and betweenness. The result reveals complexity and systematicity of online public opinion spreading.
