Improved Methods for Protecting a Mobile Agents Route

Security is a fundamental precondition for the acceptance of mobile agent systems. In this paper we discuss protocols to protect an agents route information from being misused by sites who are interested in gaining insight into the profile of the agents owner or in obstructing the owners original goal. Two improved methods presented provide visited sites with just a minimum of route information, and moreover, the second protocol makes agent carry little information. The analysis of the protocols shows that not only modifying attacks of preceding sites but also colluding attacks can be detected.
