Channel Management System in Hotel Industry
Presently everyday millions of people make their travels online via big websites or travel agencies.All these websites and travel agencies have one thing in common: they all get information from the GDSs (Global Distribution System).Almost every hotel post different rate plans and room inventories to the GDSs for the purpose of publishing products to as many customers as possible.To achieve this goal,hotels need to build connections with the tourism GDSs and manage the whole procedure.And this is the original concepts of Channel Management System (CMS).In this paper the conception of CMS is introduced,and then how to integrate CMS in the hotel industry in order to make the hotels visible to more customers and make the rate maintaining easier is described.
