A Management Framework of Web Service With QoS and RoS
Web service provides a standard means of interoperating between different software applications, running on a variety of platforms and/or frameworks. With the popularity of service technology, many researchers propose that not only functional but also non-functional properties, also known as quality of service (QoS),should be taken into consideration.QoS is mainly used to evaluate and assess the service providers and the services they provided, however, the requirements of the providers who want to enforce constraints on the requesters are less studied. In this paper,we propose the concept of RoS (Requirement of Service) which is used to describe the restrictions given by the service corresponding to the concept of QoS.RoS does exist in many e-commerce applications.Based on the concepts of QoS and RoS,we present the extended Web service model which comprises both QoS and RoS.Furthermore,we construct a Web service management platform and define profiles of the platform, which is based on LDDI to register and manage the extended Web services.
