A Novel DBA Algorithm Based on Real-time Traffic Prediction in EPONs
since most of the existing network algorithms cannot guarantee Quality of Service (QoS),a novel dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) algorithm based on realtime network traffic prediction is proposed in this paper.According to the characteristics of network traffic,it adopts a novel traffic prediction mechanism to decrease the idle time-slot of uplink channel by setting pre-transmission value.Furthermore,the network services are classified into three priority categories,and the bandwidth of each category is allocated by its priority.On the basis of guaranteeing the performance of the high priority service,the performance of medium priority service is further enhanced.Simulation results show that the algorithm proposed in this paper has the obvious improvement in the network delay performance and packet-loss ratio.
