A passive ranging system based on image sequence from single lens and the imaging direction Introduction and performance
It is investigate into the problem of the passive ranging to a non-cooperate target,a corresponding system that based on image sequence from single lens and the respective imaging direction is introduced with its performance.The principle of this passive ranging system is utilizing the P3P algorithm guided by the SIFT direction to realize feature points matching,so the characteristic linearity and the proportionality factor could be obtained,and then the distance from the target to the camera would be estimated by solving a special ranging equation.It is showed by our analysis that the ranging error is mainly determined by the precision of the characteristic linearity,and how to obtain a better characteristic linearity was technically discussed in this paper.Our experimental result had indicated that this ranging method could realize passive ranging to a non-cooperate big target.
