Connectivity of Ad hoc Networks with Random Mobility Models

Connectivity of ad hoc networks equipped with random mobility models is studied.Directed by the theorem of minimum degree, the study of connectivity is converted into the analysis of the minimum node degree.Detailed theoretical analysis is done on three random mobility models, including random way point model, random direction model and random walk model. For each model, the connectivity probability is obtained, which is related of the communication range and the node number.Analysis results show that under the same network setting, random walk model has the best connectivity, random direction model has the better, and random waypoint model has the worst.
