An Explicit Finite Element Time Domain Method for Computational Electromagnetics Using quadrangle Elements
A simple algorithm for the automatic generation of finite element meshes,based upon an extension of the grid-based algorithm,is presented for the solution of Maxwells curl equations in the time domain.The interior part of the original domain is split into squares;the remainder is split into quadrangles.FEM formulation is derived for the quadrangle element.The method is proved to be effective by application to calculate the RCS of square cylinder and cylinder.
