A Novel Scheduling Method for P2P Video-on-Demand Streaming
Video-on-Demand streaming has been actively studied recently, mainly focusing on how to support user interaction well. Many methods have been proposed and can acquire certain good effects. However, due to the dynamic and asynchronous access characteristics of the network,it is very difficult to make full use of the limited network resources sufficiently.Meanwhile, seeking operations in VoD applications make video playback a more challenging issue. In this paper,we propose a zone-based multilevel P2P VoD streaming framework and then implement a data scheduling policy.Experimental results show that the proposed framework is able to support a high concurrent scale while having a low topology cost and reducing the load of the server effectively.
