Analysis of ships leaving berth delay based on queuing theory
This paper builds a mathematical model to calculate ships leaving berth delay when waterway and turning waters are set in the same waters based on queuing theory and probability theory.It is assumed that the traffic flow of oneway channel obeys negative exponential distribution,the turning waters acts as queuing system.A case in point is the Dachan bay port.Real data from Dachan port is used as input for calculating ships leaving berth delay.This can be used to provide bases for the selection of ship traffic organization schemes.
