Research on Typical Wireless Ad Hoc Routings for Vehicular Network
In the current market, there are only specific software for network simulation or traffic simulation. They are expensive and could not support the routing simulation for vehicular network. In order to solve the problem, this paper researches on typical wireless ad hoc routings for vehicular network based on free network simulation software NS2.NS2 is secondly developed to realize the simulation environment. The obstacle model and node mobile model are added. The nodes move in random speed and direction on the road. Then the typical wireless ad hoc routings such as DSR,DSDV and AODV are researched in the environment. The network packet loss rate and end to end delay time are compared and analyzed under the different situation whether obstacles block the radio. If obstacles do not block the radio and number of nodes is enough,DSDV has higher packet loss rate and the three routings have relatively low delay time.So DSR and AODV are more suitable for vehicular network. If the obstacles block the radio, the three routing routings have high packet loss rate. They need to further advancement This paper provides a routing research idea for vehicular network and lays a foundation for further research.
