A REALIZATION OF MULTI-ACCESS MOBILE NODE SUPPROTING HETEROGENEOUS WIRELESS NETWORKS IN NS2
With the development of research on network convergence technology and heterogeneous network vertical switching technology, requirements for simulating performance on heterogeneous wireless networks switching in NS2 become more imperative. This paper selects two typical networks-WLAN and GPRS, and comes up with a extending method on normal mobile node to support heterogeneous wireless networks.And then, we verify the feasibility of our realization by create a simulate scenario, which the wireless node could handoff and receive data between different access networks.The mechanism put forward in this paper can improved the supporting to convergence network in NS2, and provide a platform for the simulations of various switching technologies.
