Tunable Dual-wavelength Erbium-doped Fiber Laser based on Fiber Bragg Grating
A tunable erbium-doped fiber ring laser providing dual-wavelength outputs is demonstrated experimentally.A proposed Y-style filter constructed with a 3dB coupler and two parallel-connection fiber Bragg gratings (FBCs) with different wavelengths is used as the wavelength-selective filter.The wavelength spacing of two FBGs Bragg reflection wavelengths can be tuned to as large as 0.8nm by adjusting axial strains applied on two FBGs.The output power is 1.68mW with lOOmW pumped power.The amplitude variations in half an hour are less than 0.2dB for both wavelengths.
