Applying Computer Graphics Technique to Visual Route Planning

To solve the conflict between the speed of building terrain and the quality of terrain scene, the author applied computer graphic theory to substrate technique of visual route planning, and achieved real-time dynamic display of 3D (three-dimensional) terrain and explored a project method of establishing complex models in short time.The author brought forward and analyzed the requirements of visual route planning and adopted special methods to deal with the data of large terrain scene.The technology based on superficial model had been adopted to establish the dynamic terrain scene which corresponding digital terrain model.Approach using display list and replication buffer the author had speed up the display of terrain scene.The author built the highquality cruise missile model fast through the thirdparty conversion software and cruise missile flight simulation had been realized.Practical application of simulation show that the speed of the display of real-time terrain scene had been improved effectively and the kind of rapid prototyping for complex engineering objects were validity.
