Design and Implementation of JPEG Encoder Device driver in Embedded Linux
JPEG encoder could compress the original image data into the JPEG format, extensively applied into all kinds of devices which need image processing. The implementation of device driver involves a lot of register operation and temporal control, need to solve the conflict between high speed encode and limited kernel memory which is difficult to some extent. In this thesis, the working principle and internal mechanism of device driving under the Linux System are firstly discussed, and the principle of IPEG encoder is introduced. On the basis of this, a high-speed JPEG encoder driving program is designed and completed. Throught the compilation of application program and experiment design, it is proved that the driver can enable the device compress the images stably and efficiently.
