Modal Analysis on a New Type Transmission Box
Loader transmission box, which is a multi-degree-offreedom elastic vibration system, will cause a complex vibration under certain exciting forces. Once the frequency of the exciting force is close to that of the transmission box, resonance happens. That will cause a huge noise and even damage. The vibration mode and natural frequency of the mechanism are closely related to its resonance phenomena. In this paper, the modal test of a new type transmission box was carried out using the modal analysis function of a FEA software-Simulation that is a Plug-in of Solidworks, the natural frequencies and modal shapes of the first five modes were obtained respectively. The results show the characteristics of vibration in every part so that we can easily find out the sensitive vibration parts and give some modifying suggestions to the transmission box.
