A Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for Sports Stadiums Location Problem in Large-scale
In the background of globalization of todays international sports, the sports business, which relies on sports games and aims to simulate consumption and nurture new economic growth point, has been the hot spot in the national sports development strategy. When sports games grow into one of the important means of promoting economic and social development, some negative effects are worthy to be noted. The construction of facilities s may bring heavy financial burden to the organizers, and the utility and maintenance of facilities s have become an unavoidable issue after the games end. How to make decisions of the construction of facilities s, the location of facilities s and the share of different sports in one facility needs to be solved. In this paper, we made a preliminary study on the problem. The integer programming model which takes time span, economic benefits and social benefits of facilities s into consideration was built. A hybrid genetic algorithm imbedded neighborhood search technology is developed for large-scale instances with both excellent wide search and local search. The paper provides theoretical basis for local governments and games organizer to organize games rationally.
