Waves Direction Estimation during Maritime Search and Rescue

Aiming at the shortcomings of low precision of traditional waves inversion and difficulties in getting two-dimensional wave direction spectrum, combined with Gabor filter and energy method, one algorithm is proposed using x-radar image sequence energy direction to estimate the wave direction, and it will be applied to the maritime search and rescue areas determination. First of all, based on different coordinate system, choose different algorithm in image processing, and then put the mean value of the processing results as the estimate value of the wave direction. In the end, program it on the PC by means of Matlab. Experimental results show that this algorithm can accurately estimate rescue areas and improve the efficiency of maritime rescue.
