An Identity-Based Secure Source Specific Multicast Protocol
To solve the security vulnerability problems of source-specific multicast, IBSSSM, an identity-based secure source specific multicast protocol is proposed. The presented Identity-based signature (IBS) algorithm can eliminate the problem of complex certificate management in public key infrastructure (PKI). The improved cryptographically generated address can not only verify the validity of senders IP address, but also verify the validity of senders identity. The security of SSM is improved through the authentication and accesses control of multicast participant. The results of the analysis show that the protocol has high security property, and also has properties of independence on IP multicast infrastructure and favorable scalability.
