Research on the Adaptive Allocation Algorithm for User Cache
The paper analyzes the advantages of the probability caching mechanism from the views of the streaming media dema- nding of buffer management and the usage of buffer memory space. Moreover, in order to overcome the drawback of data perfecting strategy of the existing probability caching mechanism, starting with the user behavior, a novel strategy based on the cache adaptive allocation is proposed to further improve the system performances. The new probability caching management mechan- ism is simulated in a simulator. Through comparing the new with the old in jumping-latency and playback continuity, the paper confirms that the improved probability caching management mechanism can effectively promote these main performances.
