Application of Industrial Ethernet in the Marine Generator Set Testing System and Its Network Load Analysis
as a monitoring system, the marine generator set testing system has a lot of data to be transmitted among controllers (PLCs) and HYIls (touch screen and notebook). 485 buses have been applied before. The maximum allowable baud rate is 19200bps, and the network architecture is master-slave. That is to say, only one master station is allowed in the same bus. Now, 100Mbps fast Industrial Ethernet is put into use. The system responds more quickly, and has more excellent real-time performance. Compared with 485 buses, the advantage is obvious. Mean time, two kinds of different schemes using Industrial Ethernet are put forward and compared. The network loads of these two schemes are analyzed, and the network occupancy rates are calculated. Finally the systems excellent real-time performance is confirmed in theory.
