Fuzzy Clustering of Tropical Cyclones Tracks
Tropical Cyclone (TC) is the most costly and destructive natural phenomena around the globe. Hidden pattern are hidden in the historical TC tracks. In this study, similarities between two TC tracks are indicated by the area of region which is formed by the tracks after being moved to the same origin. Fuzzy clustering algorithms are employed to unravel from the TC tracks the patterns and clusters. A simple application demonstrates the process and capability of the fuzzy clustering algorithm.
