Research on Ontology Mapping Method based on Global Optimization
Since more and more ontologies with different terms or different taxonomies are being developed and many of them describe similar domain, a key challenge is enabling the interoperability among different ontologies. In this paper, an ontology mapping method is presented based on global similarity optimization. First of all, a mapping model is constructed for the problem of ontology mapping from a global view. Then, a global similarity measure function between two ontologies is defined. Finally, genetic algorithm is employed to evaluate and evolve the global similarity measure function for achieving an optimal mapping. A set of experiments are conducted to evaluate the performance of the method in solving ontology- mapping problem.
