Application of Fuzzy Mathematic Model in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Regional Water Resources Carrying Capacity
As one of the most strategic resources, water resources play a very important role in ensuring regional ecological safety and implementing sustainable development. This paper is concerned with the evaluation of water resources caring capacity in Shanxi Province. The paper also intends to present a evaluation method of regional water resources carrying capacity based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation by selecting six indexes, including average utilizable water resources per capital, water supply module, water demand module, irrigationoriented water consumption, GDP module and per capita water supply. The evaluated results show that the current water exploitation and use has reached a relative high degree. Under the present economic and technical conditions, there is only a very limited water carrying capacity and there exists a serious conflict between water supply and water demand. Therefore, under the present economic and technical conditions, effective measures are to be taken to heighten the limited carrying capacity, such as water saving strategy, diversion of water from other basins in this region so as to keep the sustainable social and economic development of the province.
