Design and Realization of Spaceborne Real-time SAR Imaging Processing System Based on FPGA
At present, Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) plays an important role in advanced radar imaging system, there has been growing interest in using SAR to get high resolution image. Meanwhile, the quality of SAR image greatly depends on the performance of SAR signal processing system. With the rapid development of Field Programming Gate Array (FPGA), its powerful processing ability is paid more attention. In this paper, the architecture of real-time space-borne SAR imaging processing system based on FPGA is presented which is powerful and effective in parallel computing for imaging processing. Further more, the four most important sub-modules which make up of the whole processing system are explained in detail. Finally, Chirp-Scaling (CS) algorithm is implemented based on this architecture as a demonstration.
