Research of AODV Protocol Based on GIS Technology

摘要：

AODV(Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector routing) is the most commonly used reactive protocol because its performance is the best when the load is heavy. This paper combined the GAF(Geographica) Adaptive Fidelity) protocol, which equipped with the GIS (Geographical Information System), with the AODV protocol and got an AODV_GAF protocol. Comparing the AODV and AODV_GAF protocol under NS2 simulator, the result is the AODV_GAF protocol is far more better than AODV on the energy consumption. We also found that the best applying situation of AODV_GAF is when the load is heavy and the nodes are dense.
