The Comparison of the Competitiveness between Textile Industry and Chinas Revitalization Industry
This paper uses the factor analysis method to compare the competitiveness between textile industry and 9 other industries. The market share index of the textile industry ranked No. 5, earnings capacity index ranked No. 9, the scale index ranked No. 5, growth potential index ranked No. 6. The size index and the growth potential index are greater than the average level of 10 industries, but the profit margins is only about half the industry average, reflecting the urgent problem of the textile industry due to industrial pattern of low profits. Relying solely on price competition and the simple resources expansion can no longer support the textile industry. Sustainable development and strategic adjustments must be carried out and the textile industry must bear the pains of transition in order to re-energize traditional industries and continue to play the role of the national economy.
