Synchronization of Electrically Coupled Chaotic Neuronal Networks

Synchronization of electrically coupled chaotic neuronal networks with various topologies is explored in this paper. A general synchronization condition of chaotic neuronal network is obtained by using Master Stability Function method first. Then the condition is applied in chain, ring, star and global coupling networks respectively, while numerical simulations are also performed to check the effectiveness of the condition. It is shown that Master Stability Function method is effective for determining synchronization condition of diffusively coupled neuronal networks and networks with various topologies have different synchronization abilities, which means the speed of information circulation varies a lot in different types of neuronal networks in human brain.
