MRI Image Denosing With Fast Nonlocal Filtering
This paper presents a fast nonlocal means filtering method for medical MRI denoising. The noisy MR image is decomposed into different frequent sub-bands. Different strategies is performed to deal with wavelet coefficients: for the high frequent sub-bands, coefficients are processed with threshold; for the low frequent one, nonlocal means filtering is applied to removal noise. Experimental results on medical MRI images show that the the performance of the new method.
