A Joint Parameter Estimation and Modulation Classification Improved Method based on Cyclostationary for DS Spread-Spectrum Signal
Carrier frequency offset and symbol timing method based on second order cyclostationary for linearly modulation signals have been recently developed, in this paper first we revisit and improve this class method for direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS/SS) signal, then we propose a new initial phase estimation and modulation classification method by exploiting DS/SS signals second order cyclsatationary statistics. Different from existing method, our estimations of frequency offset and symbol timing dont rely on each other so which can avoid propagation error; also proposed new method can correctly estimate initial phase and classify different order phase shift keying (PSK) modulation signals in DS/SS system. Simulations are provided to verify the results.
