Traffic Performance Analysis of Loosing Scell Measurement Period with Ftp Traffic Model II in LTE-A Carrier Aggregation
Carrier Aggregation (CA) has been regarded as an important technology for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) which is currently standardized in the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). CA is introduced to meet the requirement of very-high-ratedata transmission over wide bandwidths e.g. up to 100MHz. SCell management is introduced to manage SCell activation, deactivation, handover and etc.. From power consumption point of view, Secondary Cell (SCell) measurement period is taken into consideration which determines change between activation and deactivation. In this paper, performance analysis of loosing SCell measurement period has been discussed. Simulation results with FTP traffic model II which close to realistic scenario to illustrate how long SCell Measurement period could be loosen in scenario 3 has been presented.
