Channel Order Estimation Using Implicit Training Sequence
In wireless communication system, because the channel is time-varying and effected by intersymbol interference, real-time and accurate estimation of channel characteristics is very important In this paper a new method of channel order estimation using implicit training sequence is presented. When the approximate estimation of the DC-offset is got at the receiver, according to the statistical characteristics of estimated channel coefficient, the channel order is estimated by computing mean point by point. In this method, order estimation is less sensitive to the change of SNR when dc-offset exists. Even at lower SNR(0dB-4dB), the percentage of accurate estimation could exceed 70% by the first estimation and 80% by the second one.
