Jib Crane Based on ANSYS Analysis of Static Stiffness and Improving Measures
Static stiffness of fixed column jib crane has a direct impact on its operating and safer performance. Using ANSYS software for finite element analysis with the consideration of the combined effects of spiral arms and the column and the whole structure, the paper is to derive arm-side deflection formula for this type of crane structure. The results are to verify the deflection formula and the reasonable camber design for spiral arms. Based on the verification, it is aimed to enhance the degree of static stiffness of the crane, to improve its response to static stiffness of the bend arm to set the appropriate degree. In particular, deflection of the arm is to ensure the correct calculation of the static stiffness of the crane foundation, but also on the right arm to set an important basis for the degree bend.
