A Kind of X86 Emulation Disk Model based on General-purpose Platform

摘要：

X86 emulation on general-purpose platform suffers from low performance and there are only several device modes for emulation. To address these problems and improve the performance of system emulation, a kind of disk model was presented. This paper describes the goal of the design, logic function of module, functions and interface, DMA transmission and interrupts system in details. At last, the test result of virtual disk showed that the disk models performance is improved by 10％-20％ than the software simulation technology on alpha processor platform, improved by I0％-15％ than the software simulation technology- on X86 processor platform.
