UWB Channel Estimation Using Low Sampling Rate Data
In this paper, we deal with the problem of low sampling rate high-resolution channel estimation for UWB receivers. A novel data-aided channel estimation scheme that only relies on symbol-rate samples is developed. For this purpose, the received signal is separately correlated with a set of especially devised templates and sampled at symbol-level rate. Utilizing these symbol-level rate samples, we derive the multipath delay estimates using a modified MUSIC method. The multipath delay estimates can then be computed via the least square method. The simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
