A Low Complexity Detection Algorithm Based On Frequency Domain Equalization for MIMOISI Channels

This paper gives a low complexity Multiple-Input Multiple Output (MIMO) detection algorithm based on Frequency Domain Equalization (FDE), unlike Time Domain Equalization (TDE), FDE using FFT Technique to do equalization in frequency domain. Using FDE, matrix operation can be equal to vector operation, which greatly reduced the algorithm complexity burden. According to simulation results, under time and frequency selective fading channels, when time delay spread and moving velocity relatively smaller, the BER performance is almost the same. Therefore in indoor or pedestrian scenarios, FDE is a better approach for MIMO detection.
