Performance-Oriented Design Model of the Content & Style of Software Engineering Textbook for Undergraduate Computer Software Related Majors
Software Engineering is an important course for software related majors; yet its also the most hated and most boring course among the students; teachers have difficulties in arousing the interest of their students, and theres hardly any doable practices that can be performed within the time/environmental limitation of the class. To address this issue, proposes a performance-oriented design model of the content & style of Software Engineering textbook for undergraduate software related majors; code of ethics, project management, documentation and coding skills, and career planning etc are added to the course content; quality-oriented education is integrated; various layout styles and decorative elements are imposed on the composing of the content. The newly designed textbook (Introduction to QualityOriented Software Engineering) has been proven to be more easily handled for teachers, and students have also shown paying more attention when in the class.
