Research on the Dedusting Efficiency of Wire Fiber Grid
Fiber grid dedusting technology is a more positive and effective measure, currently used for dust removal. But at present the widespread use of nylon grid has not-ideal effect on dedusting for its material defects. At the same time, since nylon itself is inflammable, underground using maybe dangerous. Therefore an experimental study was conducted about wire fiber gird dedusting technology under the simulation of real conditions of underground tunnels. The laboratory experiment detailed tested the effects of five variables on the dust removal efficiency, including the degree of wire grid tightness, dry and wet of the grid, dust particle diameter, the number of vibrating grid layers and its spacing, and the material. The result indicates that, when using wet four-layer fiber grid with spacing 15cm for 0.038mm diameter dust, the dust-removing efficiency can get the highest 92.4%. With good effect on dust removal, the application prospect is wide.
