Function projective synchronization and parameter estimation of different chaotic systems with fully unknown parameters

The complexity and security are weaker when we utilize the usual projective synchronization (PS) with constant scaling factors to communication. By selecting time-varying function as scaling factors and employing adaptive procedure, a simple controller and a set of parameter update laws were constructed to carry out function projective synchronization (FPS) between two different chaotic systems with fully unknown parameters. The unknown parameters can be estimated simultaneously by on-line way. Based on Lyapunov stability theorem, we proved that the error dynamic system is globally and asymptotically stable at the origin. The simulation results show that the designed controller and parameter update laws are feasible and effective for FPS and parameters estimation, and have good robustness in the presence of white Gaussian noise.
