Performance on SK-coverage in WSN of the Forest Detection
K-coverage algorithm is widely used in wireless sensor networks (WSN) of the forest fire detection and monitoring system. However, the sensing ability of a sensor node is non-uniform in all directions in shadowed environments. So, the optimized algorithm (SK-coverage) should be well proposed in this paper. The reliability of the collected data and the network lifetime are paid close attention to by the algorithm. The simulation result shows that the algorithm can supply the network with higher reliable collected data all long and low whole network energy consumption, compared with the former k-coverage algorithms, which do not consider the shadowed factors for the sensor nodes.
